Jean McKinzey Whiting, 86 of Flowery Branch passed away Friday April 16, 2021 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center-Gainesville.
A lifelong resident of Hall County, Mrs. Whiting was the daughter of the late Gordon and Una Holland McKinzey. She was a graduate of Lyman Hall High School and was a homemaker. Mrs. Whiting was a member of Flat Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Janet and Mike Wofford, Gainesville; Gale and Rev. Garry English, Flowery Branch; son and daughter-in-law, Rev. Mark and Cathy Whiting, Pendergrass; grandchildren; Andrew and Miranda English, David English, Daniel English, Lilly Wofford, Ashton Whiting, Jesse Whiting, Eli Whiting; great grandchildren, Hadley and Abel English; sisters and brothers-in-law; Roberta and James Scroggs, Oakwood; Mary Sue and Neil Whitmire, Gainesville; special caregiver, Donna Loving, Flowery Branch. A number of nieces and nephews also survive.
Mrs. Whiting is preceded in death by her parents and husband, T. Leroy Whiting.
Funeral services will be held Sunday April 18, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at Flat Creek Baptist Church. Rev. Mark Whiting, Rev. Garry English and Rev. Zack Williams will officiate. Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Little & Davenport Funeral Home Saturday April 17 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
