Walker Thomas Shoaf, Jr. was born on November 2, 1923 in Covington, Tennessee and on April 15, 2021, our heavenly Father called him home to have eternal life. He loved family, friends, airplanes, flying and spending time with Faye. He was a devoted husband and father of four children. Walker was a resident of Gainesville, Georgia for the past 64 years, moving here from Memphis, Tennessee to start his auto parts business (Complete Auto Parts) of 58 years and still going. He was a member of both Paul E. Bolding American Legion Post 7 Gainesville, Georgia and the Lanier Shrine Club.
Walker is survived by his wife Deliah Faye (Clark) Shoaf of Gainesville, GA and children Dr. W. Thomas Shoaf, III (Patti), Terry Shoaf (Tricia) Sherrye Bentley (Bob) and son-in-law, Ken Robinson; step-children, Frank E. Harwood Jr., Thressea Baldwin (Mike), and Angela Smith and 20 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his youngest daughter, Annette Robinson and Lena (Tubbs) Shoaf (mother of his children), Jeanie Harwood and Bill Smith.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Monday, April 19, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel, 2030 Memorial Park Road, Gainesville, GA 30504. The family will receive friends at 1:00 pm, Monday, April 19, 2021 prior to the funeral at the main chapel. Reverend Mike Taylor and Reverend Zack Williams will officiate. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery immediately following the funeral.
