Odeleen Talley

Odeleen Talley, 90, of Dawsonville passed away Thursday, April 15, 2021 following a period of declining health.

Born September 2, 1930 in Lumpkin County to the late Ode and Dolly Reeves, she had lived in Dawson County most of her life.  Odeleen retired from Sweet-Orr following over 30 years of service.  She enjoyed gardening and was very devoted to her family.  A member of Harmony Baptist Church, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Rufus “Pete” Talley, and several sisters and brothers.

Surviving are her sons and daughters in law, Frank and Stephanie Talley, Dawsonville, Phillip and Gail Talley, Dawsonville; grandchildren, Jarrett and Courtney Talley, Felicia and Russ Stephens, Katie and Brian Greene, Courtney and Eric Midgett; great grandchildren, Banks Talley, Emaan Greene, Mason Greene, Britt Midgett, Eliza Midgett; and a number of other relatives.

Graveside services will be held Sunday, April 18, 2021 at 2 o’clock at Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery.  Rev. Gary Coffey will officiate.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 4 until 8 at the funeral home.
