George Lane

Mr. George Lane, age 87, of Hoschton passed away Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at his residence, surrounded by his family.

Funeral Mass will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 3, 2021 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church.  Father Eric Hill will officiate.

Mr. Lane was born December 20, 1933 to the late William Lane & Helena O’Leary Lane in Jersey City, New Jersey.  A resident of Deaton Creek, he was an active member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church and the Hibernian Benevolent Society.  He was retired from Valmet, where he had been an Engineer.

Mr. Lane is survived by his wife, Barbara Lane; sons, Kevin (Vicki) Lane, George Christopher Lane, Jr., Brian (Ann) Lane and Daniel (Stacey) Lane; 8 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his first wife, Catherine Lane.
