Melton Dallas Dodd

Mr. Melton Dallas Dodd, age 79 of Nix Road, Alto, GA, passed away Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at his residence.

A son of the late Travis and Ester Coley Dodd, he was born April 11, 1942 in Banks County having lived most of his life in Habersham County.  He was employed as a welder with Fieldale having retired after 35 years of service and was of the Holiness faith and was an avid sports fan.

Survivor include two daughters and a son-in-law Brandi and Randy Sosebee of Alto, GA and Elizabeth Harrelson of Alto, son and daughter-in-law Ricky and Denise Dodd of Clarkesville, GA, grandchildren Katie Sosebee, Shelby McCallister, Tara Harrelson, Bradley Harrelson, Chad Harrelson, Jamie Dodd and Devin Dodd also fifteen great-grandchildren, sister, Lillian Dodd Alto, GA, brother Dennis Richard Dodd of Mt. Airy, 21 nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2 PM Sunday, April 18, 2021 from the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with the Reverend Graylen Armour officiating.

The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, April 17, 2021 from 6 until 8 PM.  .  Due to the health and well-being of the community, social distancing must be observed.  Masks are encouraged during the visitation and service.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.

Interment will be in the Dodd Family Cemetery in Lula, GA for Mr. Melton Dodd.
