William Chester Smith

Mr. William Chester Smith, age 55 of Walnut Street, Toccoa, GA, passed away Thursday, April 8, 2021 at his residence.  A son of the late Hardy and Vivian Ann Simmons Smith, he was born March 10, 1966 in Stephens County where he lived most of his life.  He worked with Toccoa Tire for a number of years and later worked in the farming industry. Chester was preceded in death by brothers, Joel Smith and Perry Smith and a sister Brenda Ashley.  He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors in clued his wife Elaine Manly Smith of the home, daughter Jessica Elmore of Star SC, four sons, Ryan Smith, Brian Smith, Joshua Smith and Phillip Ramey, all of Toccoa, 11 grandchildren, sisters-in-law, Melissa Parker and Gail Manley both of Toccoa, nephew Jessie Parker of Toccoa, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2 PM Saturday, April 10, 2021 from The Hillcrest Chapel of The Acree-Davis Funeral Home with the Reverend Tim Griffin and the Reverend Aaron Elrod officiating.  the following will serve as pallbearers, Ryan Smith, Brian Smith, Josh Smith, Josh Elmore, Jeremy Smith, Namon Manley. Jesse Parker and Kenny Smith.

The family will be at the home on Walnut Street and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Friday, April 9, 2021 from 6 until 8 PM.  Due to the health and well-being of the community, social distancing must be observed. Interment will be in the Toccoa City Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of arrangements for Mr. Chester Smith
