Mary Jo Ivey

Mary Jo Ivey age 72 of Lula entered heaven Sunday April 4, 2021 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Gainesville.

Mary Jo was born in Aniana, Alabama to the late Buie & Lillian Thrasher Goble. She was a homemaker and also helped her husband in the family pallet business. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Ivey; daughter, Ladonna Ivey Gardiner; sister, Brenda Goble; brother-in-law, Herman “Shorty” Gailey.

Survivors include her loving husband, Hayward Ivey; daughters, Angela Ivey (Kevin) Madonna & Lisa Ivey (Blake) Whidby; brother, Jimmy (Carolyn) Goble; sisters, Barbara Gailey & Helen Goble; 6 grandchildren & 15 great grandchildren with a host of other family members surviving.

Funeral services honoring the life of Mary Jo will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday April 7, 2021 in the chapel of Ward’s Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Anderson & Rev. Len Land officiating. Burial will follow in Wahoo Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday April 6, 2021 at the funeral home.
