Mr. Harold Collins, 90, of Gainesville passed away April 4, 2021 in Lawrenceville, GA.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Nimblewill Baptist Church. Rev. L. C. Bennett and Rev. Doug Merck will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Due to Covid-19, the family requests that everyone attending the visitation and service wear a mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines.
Born on May 5, 1930 in Cumming, he was the son of the late Doc and Mattie Gaddis Collins. He was retired from General Motors after 36 years, where he worked on the Assembly line. Mr. Collins was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force and a member of Nimblewill Baptist Church where he served as a deacon.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Collins is preceded in death by his brother, Roy Collins.
Mr. Collins is survived by his wife, Hazel Kendall Collins of Gainesville; son and daughter in law, Stan and Cindy Collins of Buford; daughter and son in law, Gena and Todd Willis of Buford; sister, Inez Barnes of Gainesville; grandchildren, Tyler Smallwood, Alyssa Willis, Allison Kretschmar, Ainsley Morgan, Chris Rainwater, Phillip Rainwater; 7 great-grandchildren and a number of other relatives.
