Ethan Oliver McCallister, age 28 of Smyrna, formerly of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, April 3, 2021.
Ethan was born on November 8, 1992, in Gainesville, Georgia, to Keith and Jody Oliver McCallister. He was 2011 graduate of White County High School and a 2016 graduate of Georgia Tech with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. He worked as a superintendent for Turner Construction. Ethan attended Welcome Worship Center and was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dorsey “Duck” and Sharon Oliver, and Marvin and Leona McCallister; uncles, Randy McCallister, Roger McCallister, and Dorsey Ray Oliver, Jr.; aunt, Jill Oliver.
Survivors include his parents, Keith “Scootie” and Jody McCallister, Cleveland; brother and sister-in-law, Eli and Paige McCallister, Gainesville; sister and brother-in-law, McKayla and Tray Gearin, Cleveland; nephew, Tate Gearin, Cleveland; aunts and uncles, Janice Oliver, Judy and Tim Barrett, Linda and Bryan Westmoreland, Ricky McCallister, Ken McCallister, Beverly Gerrells, and Ronald McCallister; numerous cousins and extended family also survive.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Friday, April 9, 2021 at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Jimmy Peck, the Rev. Rich Hulsey, and the Rev. Clarence Reynolds will officiate. Interment will follow at Yonah View Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 8:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
