Patricia Elaine Smith

Mrs. Patricia Elaine Smith, age 76 of Gainesville, passed away Thursday, April 1, 2021 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at 3:30pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with Reverend Anthony Cook officiating. Interment will follow in Whitehall Baptist Church. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 5, 2021 from 6:00-8:00pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Smith was born June 25, 1944 in Gainesville, Georgia to J.D. Griffin and Annie Lee Cagle. She was loved by all and was a member of Whitehall Baptist Church. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Jackson Smith; son, Jeffrey Todd Smith; brother, Gary Allen Griffin. 

Mrs. Smith is survived by her son, Tracy Alan Smith of Gainesville; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Jeff Purcell of Flowery Branch; brothers, Wayne Griffin of Lula, Charles Griffin of Homer, Larry Griffin of Lula, Kevin Griffin of Homer; sisters, Dianne Hawkins of Gillsville, Wanda Brown of Gainesville, Judi Pittman of Lula; grandchildren, Kasey Smith, Cody Reed, Ashleigh Spruill, Cameron Purcell; great-grandchildren, Kyree, Kylan, Levi, Jachai, Jacoby and Bryleigh and a very special niece, Ginger Daniel.
