Bruce Alan McDowell

Bruce Alan McDowell, 41, of Dahlonega, GA passed away on Friday, March 26, 2021 following a period of declining health. Bruce was born October 9, 1979 in Stuttgart, Germany and is the son of Kirk and Wanda Davis.

Bruce was a passionate and loving man.  He loved watching the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday and playing softball for his church. He was a craftsman and loved to create and build. He loved to make the people around him laugh. At the end of the day, Bruce loved nothing more than spending time with his family and dog, Lucious, watching movies or eating Skittles.  You could find him smiling, the way he would always want to be remembered.

Bruce is preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert Burnett; grandfather and grandmother, Larry and Jackie Davis; Granny and PaPa McDowell; aunt, Janice Moshier; brother-in-law, Jimmy Hart and uncle, Mark Davis.

Bruce is survived by daughter, Kaitlyn McDowell; son, Bruce Michael McDowell; ex-wife and best friend,  Katherine McDowell; great-grandmother, Ginny Burnett; parents, Kirk and Wanda Davis; sister, Jennifer Caine (Eddie); brother, Bobby McDowell (Kristen); uncles and aunts: Ricky Burnett, Bob and Sue Burnett, Cathy and Phil Keane, Larry and Katherine Davis, Cindy and Dave Japps, Cristy and Scott Thomas, Shawn and Sandra Davis, Nick Davis, Andrew and Stephanie Davis, Scott and Chris Moshier; numerous cousins and friends.

A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church of Dawsonville at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 31, 2021. Graveside service and interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.
