Clay Roper

Mr. Clay Roper age 89 of Gainesville, Ga. died Wednesday March 24, 2021 in Gainesville, Ga. Funeral services are scheduled for 12 noon Friday at the Little Davenport Chapel and burial will follow in the Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 4pm to 6 pm.

Mr. Roper was the son of the late Agnis White Roper and  Parks Roper and he was preceded in death by his wife, Jimmie Lou Davidson Roper. Mr. Roper was born in Hall county in 1931, Was a construction superintendent for many different construction companies and he served honorably in the US Army during the Korean war. Also, he was a devout Christian and read his bible everyday. 

Survivors include his 3 sons, Steve Roper and wife Jan Hill, Tim Roper and Brian Roper, a daughter, Melissa Locke and her husband Bob, grandchildren, Sam, Brian and Julie Roper, greatgrandchildren, Atticus and Persy Roper and a furbaby, Stella.
