Mr. Fred J. Moses, Sr., age 75, of Flowery Branch, passed away Tuesday, March 23, 2021.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 26, 2021 in the Chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home with interment following at Memorial Park South Cemetery. Rev. John Dell will officiate. The family will receive friends 10:00 – 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 26, 2021 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.
Mr. Moses was born November 13, 1945 to the late R.L Moses & Vergie Jenkins Moses. He served in the Army National Guard and was the “Tire Man” for 50 years. His iconic “where the rubber meets the road” jingle will live on in our hearts.
Mr. Moses is survived by his fiancé, Delia Long of Flowery Branch; sons, Clayton Moses and John Moses; grandchildren, Nick Funderburk, Emily Page, Freddie Joe Moses III and Zoey Moses; great-grandson, Noah Funderburk; sisters, Shirley Bright, Beverly Link, and Charlotte Garrett; and several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Freddie Joe Moses II, and daughter, Breanna Moses; and Linda Joe Clayton, mother of his children and close friend.
