Jonathan Colby Thomason

Jonathan Colby Thomason, age 36, of Demorest, passed away on Thursday, March 18, 2021. 

Mr. Thomason was born on January 12, 1985, in Gainesville. He graduated from Habersham Central High School in 2003 then went on to earn his Associates Degree and work in construction. He loved his guitars and playing music with his kids. Jonathan was a loving husband, father, and son.  

He was preceded in death by his father, Warren Reynolds Thomason and brother, Phillip Thomason. 

Survivors include his wife, Sabrina Thomason; son, Cayden Lynn Thomason; daughters, McKenzie Bray and Kylee Marie Thomason; mother and stepfather, Debra and Randy Kelley; stepmother, Tammie Mote Thomason; brother, Seth Thomason; sister, Brandy Pope; several stepsiblings; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Beth and Jeffrey May; sister-in-law and her husband, Stephanie and Carey Bennett; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces,  nephews, and cousins. 

A graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 pm on Tuesday, March 23, 2021, at Level Grove Cemetery with Pastor Matthew Mote officiating. 

The family will receive friends from 12-1:30 pm prior to the service on Tuesday, at the funeral home.
