Charles Watson

Mr. Charles Watson, age 84 of Toccoa passed away Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

A son of the late Clarence Tut Watson and Ruth Poole Watson, he was born December 20, 1936 in Stephens County, Georgia where he lived all his life. He was retired from Toccoa Casket Company. He attended the Toccoa Pentecostal Holiness Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Watson Brown, by a grandson, Cody Brown and by two sisters, Kathleen Adams and Josephine Sheerer.

Survivors include his wife of the home, Ruth Adams Watson; daughter, Sherry Watson of Toccoa; granddaughters, Hope Brown, Holly Brown and Misty Rudeseal; a number of great-grandchildren; brothers, Kenneth Watson of Orange Park, Florida and Mike Watson of Toccoa; sisters, Mary Saylors and Joyce Brown of Martin, Evelyn Thurston of Toccoa and Mildred McConnell of Eastanollee.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at 2 P.M. at Stephens Memorial Gardens with Mr. Trevor Burton officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, A.J. Rudeseal, Timothy Rudeseal, Adam Rudeseal, Jonah Swinton, Davon Swinton, Canaan Brown and Esson Swinton.

The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Tuesday from 1 P.M. until time to leave for the service. Due to the health and well-being of our community, social distancing must be observed. Masks are encouraged during the visitation and service. Interment will follow in the Stephens Memorial Gardens with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Charles Watson.
