Cheri Ann Maltbie

Mrs. Cheri Ann Maltbie, 74, of Flowery Branch, passed away Saturday, March 20, 2021.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Pastor Robby Williams will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Monday, March 22, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Due to Covid-19, the family requests that everyone attending the visitation and service wear a mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines.

Born on March 4, 1947 in Albertville, AL, she was the daughter of the late Lemmie Scvaston Rooks and Mary Elizabeth Nixon Rooks. She was retired from Lowe’s where she was a sales associate. Mrs. Maltbie was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Maltbie is preceded in death by her husband, James R. Maltbie; brother, Eugene Rooks and sisters, Joyce Dixon and Linda Rooks.

Mrs. Maltbie is survived by her daughter and son in law, MarRana and David Nix of Flowery Branch; grandchildren, MaryLana Nix, Hunter Nix, Karli Nix all of Flowery Branch; sister, Mary Jo Honea of Scottsboro, AL; brother, David Rooks of AL and a number of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Maltbie is survived by a special sister, Sharon Hamby of Boaz, AL.
