Paul Franklin Skeggs, Jr.

Paul Franklin Skeggs, Jr, age 74, of Homer, Georgia, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 12, 2021.

Mr. Skeggs was born in Pensacola, Florida on September 26, 1946, to the late Paul Franklin Skeggs, Sr. and Patricia Marie Matthews Skeggs. He was retired from the Dekalb County Fire Department with twenty-seven years of loyal and dedicated service, having formed a brotherhood and fellowship with his fellow firemen that remains today. Mr. Skeggs was a member of Level Grove Baptist Church. Mr. Skeggs was a loving and dedicated husband, father, and grandfather.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Michele Ardolina-Skeggs, of Homer; son and daughter-in-law, Jarrod and Ginger Skeggs, of Flowery Branch; brother and sister-in-law, Hiram and Paige Skeggs, of Dewy Rose, GA; grandchildren, Stephen, Brittanie, and Averi.

The family received friends on Monday, March 15, 2021, from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel of Baldwin, Georgia.

Graveside services were held at 4:00 pm, Monday, March 15, 2021 at Athens Memory Gardens, 5195 Lexington Road, Athens, Georgia 30605, with Dr. Brian James officiating. All family and friends met at the cemetery by 3:45 pm.
