Donald Lee Milligan

Mr. Donald Lee Milligan, age 70 of Seven Forks Road, Martin, Georgia passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2021 in Lexington, Georgia from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

A son of the late David Ralph Milligan and Nealy Viola Massey Milligan, he was born June 20, 1950 in Atlanta, Georgia having lived in Lula, Georgia before moving to Martin, Georgia. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Marines. He was employed with Florida Rock and Tank Lines with 30 years of service. He was of the Christian faith and loved taking care of all his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by nine siblings.

Survivors include his wife of the home, Janice Ford Milligan; three daughters and sons-in-law, Christy and Gary Motes, Tammy Milligan and Elizabeth Williams all of Martin; son and daughter-in-law, Lee and Jennifer Milligan of Cornelia; eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; five brothers, John Milligan, Paul Milligan, Ralph Milligan, Ronald Milligan and Clayton Milligan; two sisters, Ruth Milligan and Lucy Milligan; nephews, Paul Milligan, Jacob Milligan and Michael Milligan.

Funeral services will be Saturday, March 20, 2021, 4 O’clock p.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Josh Patrick officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Lee Milligan, Danny Milligan, Rhett Motes, Jacob Milligan, Thomas Looney and Michael Black.

The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Friday, 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Due to the health and well-being of our community, social distancing must be observed. Interment will follow in the Stephens Memorial Gardens with Military Honors by the U.S. Marine Honor Guard and the V.F.W. Post 4346 Honor Guard.
