Carrie Leonia Propes

Mrs. Carrie Leonia Propes, 59, of Statham passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2021.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 20, 2021 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Mike Taylor and Rev. Zack Williams will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Park South Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Friday, March 19, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Due to Covid-19, the family requests that everyone attending the visitation and service wear a mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines.

Born on February 1, 1962 in Gainesville, she was the daughter of the late Lamar and Margaret Elizabeth Stewart Cleveland. She was previously employed with Peach State Fire where she was a secretary. Mrs. Propes was a member of Flat Creek Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Propes is preceded in death by her husband, John David Propes.

Mrs. Propes is survived by her sons and daughters in law, Brandon and Ashley Propes of Statham, John Derrick and Nicole Propes of Buford, Casey and Allison Propes of Jefferson; grandchildren, Lily Grace and Wesley Propes, Taelynn and Paisley Propes; sister and brother in law, Karen and Bradley Parson of Homer; brother, Johnny E. Cleveland of Chestnut Mountain and cousin, Shirley Smith of Gainesville.
