John Gordon McCloud

John Gordon McCloud, age 73, of Buford, GA passed away on Tuesday, March 2, 2021. He was preceded in death by his father, Gordon John McCloud; mother, Marian Antoinette McCartt; son, Gordon John McCloud; son-in-law, Les Brown; brother, Lynn McCloud; sisters, Nikki Berg, Arlene Lacey; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Sgt. and Mrs. Melvin Berg. Mr. McCloud is survived by his wife of thirty years, Christiane Berg McCloud of Buford; children, Gordon and Hali McCloud of Hawaii, Amie Brown of Auburn, GA, Susie Edelman of Huntsville, AL, Rita and Michael Wilson of Suwanee, GA, Michelle Wilkerson of Buford; grandchildren, April Lavendar, Ashley Edelman, Michael and Jordan Wilkerson, Isabella and Evan Wilson, Cash Huck, Olive McCloud, Leia McCloud; great grandchildren, Taylor Lavendar, Layla Totcky; sister, Deborah (Troy) Ross of Murfreesboro, TN; brother-in-law, Ron Lacey; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mr. McCloud was born on January 21, 1948 in Pasadena, CA. He was a veteran of the Merchant Marines, and was a retired manager from Dollar Tree. Mr. McCloud was a member of Covenant Connection Church in Flowery Branch, GA. He loved his Oakland Raiders Football Team and playing golf. He adored his grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 13, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Pastor David Gregory and Mr. Patrick McWhorter officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday, prior to the service, from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Flanigan Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses in memory of John McCloud.
