Joyce (Joy) A. Saine Crowe

Mrs. Joyce (Joy) A. Saine Crowe, age 86 of Gainesville, passed away on Thursday Evening, March 4, 2021 at Ashton Senior Living Center following an extended illness.   

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, March 13, 2021 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Alta Vista Cemetery.  Mr. Carl Nelson and Ms. Sharon Wahlin will officiate.  The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 13, 2021 from 1 – 3 pm, at the funeral home, prior to the service.     

Mrs. Crowe was born December 8, 1934 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late Charles Franklin Saine and Jura Frances Kytle Saine. Mrs. Joy was a lifelong resident of Gainesville.  She had a great love for music and was an accomplished pianist.  Mrs. Joy graduated in 1968 from Ocie Rich Pope Nursing School (now Brenau School of Nursing) worked and later retired from Northeast Georgia Medical Center as a Registered Nurse.  She was of the Christian faith and centered her life around that faith.  Mrs. Joy loved her natural family but also loved her church friends as well, as they were like family to her.  Mrs. Joy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, George M. Crowe, her son, James Saine Brown, her brother, Charles F. Saine, Jr., her sisters, Pauline Bair, Frances Wells, Anna Jo Portwood and Billie Little.    

Mrs. Crowe is survived by her daughter, Brenda Brown Mathias of Hull, Georgia, her granddaughters & their husbands, Gigi & Vince Musgrove of Rogers, Arkansas and Rachel & Brendl Dunn of Gainesville, her grandsons & their wives, Ark & Trish Mathias of Tacoma, Washington and Erik & Amanda Brown of Gainesville, her great-grandchildren, Cody, Clay, and Leah Musgrove, Kaitlin, Tyler, J.D. and Charlotte Mathias and Penelope Dunn.  She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
