Daniel Delnoce

Obituary Date: Friday, February 26, 2021

Daniel Delnoce, 44, of Gainesville, Georgia, passed away on Friday, February 26, 2021, suddenly and unexpectedly.  Known by his closest relatives and friends as “Danny”, “Double D”, “Doubles”, “Uncle Dan”, “Coach Dan”, and most importantly “Daddy”, he went home to be with his Lord hand-in-hand with the love of his life, Courtney, and his youngest brother, Matthew.

Dan was the eldest of three boys born to Robert and Laura Delnoce in Wadsworth, Ohio.  Born on December 29, 1976, he was a 1995 graduate of Wadsworth High School where he starred as a defensive end for the football team and 160 pound grappler for the wrestling team.  Following high school, he took his talents to Heidelberg College in Tiffin, Ohio, where he excelled as a scholar athlete for the Student Princes football team and graduated in 1999 with a passion for athletic training.

Shortly after college, he relocated to Northeast Georgia, where he continued his career as an athletic trainer and surgical assistant.  He was the first athletic trainer to join the Specialty Orthopaedics practice, and he paved the way for several more athletic trainers to follow.  Dan successfully built two businesses in the local community and had dreams to grow them into grand enterprises in which he could continue to work and collaborate with friends and family.  Many professionals that he inspired will forever think about Dan’s leadership and creativity in all of their future endeavors.

Dan was a lifelong Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns football fan and loved to host and travel with family and friends.  He was intensely loyal and proud, and tremendously motivated, but he will be remembered the most for his selfless love, service and devotion to his church, family, and his friends.

With all of his accomplishments, Dan’s pride and joy was being a family man as a dedicated father to Rocco and Ellie and stepchildren Essie and Belle, a loving husband to Courtney, a loyal son to Laura and Bob, and devoted brother to Kenny and Matt.  As a passionate uncle and cousin, he was the glue for the entire extended family.

Dan is survived by his two children, Rocco and Ellie; his loving mother, Laura; his two step-children, Essie and Belle; his brother Kenny (Niki), and many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. His death was preceded by his father, Robert, in 2013 coincident with his wife, Courtney, and brother, Matthew.

The family will receive friends from 11:30am-1:30pm at Memorial Park Funeral Home (2030 Memorial Park Dr. Gainesville, GA 30504).  Funeral service will be held at Corinth Baptist Church (3590 Thompson Bridge Rd, Gainesville GA 30506) at 2:00pm.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Corinth Baptist Church, Gainesville, Georgia.

Due to Covid-19, the family requests that everyone attending the visitation and service wear a mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines.

Memorial Park Funeral Home, 2030 Memorial Park Road, Gainesville, GA  30504 is in charge of arrangements.
