Evangeline “Sister” Wright

Evangeline “Sister” Wright age 96 of Gainesville entered rest Wednesday March 3, 2021 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Gainesville.
Mrs. Wright was born September 17, 1924 in Cedartown, Georgia to the late Thomas & Hattie Barrett Pettit. She had worked at the daycare at First Presbyterian Church & Lakewood Baptist Church. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Gainesville, and was preceded in death by her husband, Frank C. Wright, Jr., great grandchild, Alyssa Seabolt; sisters, Lois Nicholson & Nelle Robinson; brother, Bryan Pettit.
Survivors include, daughters, Robyn (Jim) McDonald & Laura Deane; grandchildren, Neil McDonald, Chase Andrews, Sally Celia & April Drennan; great grandchildren, Paisley Seabolt, Locklin Andrews, Evangeline Celia & James Celia.
A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday May 1, 2021 at the Alta Vista Cemetery with a celebration of life service to follow at 11:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Shon Peppers & Rev. Lee Koontz officiating. Following the service there will be a reception at the Gardens on Green in Gainesville for anyone who attends.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, 800 S. Enota Drive Gainesville, GA 30501 or to Variety of Georgia.org.
