Sandra Emmons House

Obituary Date: Tuesday, March 2, 2021

Sandra Emmons House, 68 of Gainesville passed away Tuesday March 2, 2021 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Born in Corpus Christi, Texas, Sandi had lived in Hall County over 23 years.  She was the daughter of the late Lawrence Emmons, Jr. and Mamie Gallops Emmons.  A retired nurse practitioner in Women's Health, Sandi was a graduate of Georgia Baptist School of Nursing, received her Master of Science from Georgia State University, and also taught in the nursing program at Georgia Perimeter College.  Sandi was a Master Gardner in Hall County and also taught water aerobics  at the Francis Meadows Center after retirement. She was a member of the Gainesville Church of Christ, where she taught Sunday School for many years.  Above all things, she was a faithful Christian.

Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Ben House, Gainesville; son, Benjamin N. House, Oxford, Ga.; daughter, Melissa C. House, Marietta, Ga.; siblings, Betty Rattary, Bogart, Ga., William Emmons, Athens, Ga., Robert Emmons, Dover, DE; a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Sandi is preceded in death by her parents, sister, Laura Weems and brother, Harry Emmons.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic a celebration of life service will be held at a later date. The family request that in lieu of flowers that memorial contributions please be made to the Gainesville Church of Christ, 2815 Wallace Road, Gainesville, Georgia 30507  in memory of Sandi.
