William Douglas Burdette

Mr. William Douglas Burdette, 73, of Pendergrass, passed away March 1, 2021.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 5, 2021 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. His nephews, Mr. Phillip Burdette and Mr. Steven Burdette will officiate. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Friday from 12:00 p.m. until the service hour.

Due to Covid-19, the family requests that everyone attending the visitation and service wear a mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines.

Born on July 9, 1947 in Hartwell, GA, he was the son of the late Clyde and Helen Sanders Burdette. He was self-employed as a painter, was a veteran of the United States Army and of the Baptist faith.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Burdette is preceded in death by his brother, Willie Clyde Burdette.

Mr. Burdette is survived by his wife, Kathy Burdette of Pendergrass; daughters, Erica Burdette, Meghan Burdette; 4 grandchildren; brother, Billy O. Burdette of Pendergrass; sisters, Joyce Smith  and Betty Lynch both of Royston; and a host of nieces and nephews.
