Mr. Robert “Bobby” Allison Winters, age 71 of Highway 17 South, Eastanollee passed away Monday, March 1, 2021 at the Stephens County Hospital.
A son of the late Allison and Jeanette Lampley Winters Bagnall, he was born November 25, 1949 in Stephens County, Georgia where he lived all his life. He was a graduate of Stephens County High School, Class of 1967. He was employed with WABCO, Patterson Pump and later with Dempster for a number of years. He was a member of the Toccoa Presbyterian Church and was an avid fisherman and historian. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, David and Larry Winters.
Survivors include two sons and daughter-in-law, David Winters of Toccoa and James and Tracy Winters of Watkinsville, Georgia; grandchildren, Canaan Winters, Cora Winters, Allison Winters and Amelia Winters; brother and sister-in-law, J. Wiley Winters and Shirley of Toccoa; a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be Saturday, March 6, 2021, 2 O’clock p.m. at the Stephens Memorial Gardens with The Reverend Don Scott and The Reverend Paul Rettew officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Dale Payne, Steve Cheek, Ray Vincent, Canaan Winters, Braz Looney and David Dodd.
The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Saturday from noon until time to leave for the service. Due to the health and well-being of our community, social distancing must be observed. Masks are encouraged during the visitation and service. Interment will follow in the Stephens Memorial Gardens with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Robert “Bobby” Winters.
