Carroll Edmond Segers

Carroll Edmond Segers, age 83 of Cornelia, Georgia went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 02, 2021 at his residence following an extended illness.

Born in Baldwin, Georgia on December 26, 1937, he was a son of the late Lonnie Estes Segers & Oma Rosalee Ballew Segers. Carroll served his country proudly in the United States Army. He was a graduate of Truett-McConnell College where he received an Associates Degree in Business. Carroll retired as a mechanic with Fleming Food Service after many years of dedicated service. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching baseball and was an avid NASCAR fan. Most of all, Carroll enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Cornelia.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 28 years, Ozelle English Segers; brother & sister-in-law, Kenneth & Sally Segers; sisters & brothers-in-law, Mildred "Millie" & Ed Harper, Lucy & Buck Buchanan, & Jean Hitt.

Survivors include his children, Mark & Paige Segers of Cleveland, GA; Jeff & Lori Segers of Clarkesville, GA; Tracy & Edita Stewart of Oakwood, GA; Kent & Vicki Stewart of Flowery Branch, GA; Pamela June Segers of Clarkesville, GA; grandchildren, Caleb & Kelly Segers, Day Segers, Alyson & Dustin Wellborn, Zane & Amanda Stewart; great-grandchildren, Addylyn Wellborn, Anderson Wellborn, Benjamin Stewart, William Stewart, Conner Stewart, Ridge Segers, & Gentry Munger; brothers & sisters-in-law, Johnny & Yvonne Segers of Cleveland, GA; Ralph & Cindy Segers of Florida; other relatives, & friends.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 04, 2021 at Hillside Memorial Chapel with Rev. Anthony Shore & Rev. Austin Kelley officiating. Interment will follow in the Level Grove Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
