Carlton Shelton Mullis

Carlton Shelton Mullis (81) of Braselton Georgia went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, February 27, 2021. Shelton was born in Macon Georgia August 12, 1939 to the late Carlton E. Mullis and Late Adeline Lavender Mullis.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, March 4, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at Memorial Park South Cemetery. Rev. Michael Moore will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday, March 4, 2021 from 12:30-2:00 P.M. at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.

He was a lifetime car man working as a teenager at his father’s car dealership all the way through a family dealership with his sister and finally retiring from his own car business with his wife Juadeen. In his early years, he served his country in the Army Reserves. Shelton was a member of White Springs Baptist Church in Wilkinson County where he raised his family with his devoted wife. They moved to Braselton, Georgia in 2013 where he was a member of Flowery Branch Baptist Church. Shelton was a faithful servant and deacon of the churches he was a member of in his lifetime. In his later years he was an active member of the Gideons International.

A loving husband of 58 years and a devoted father, grandfather and friend to many. His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife Juadeen Anderson Mullis (Braselton), son Carlton Jonathon Mullis (Atlanta), daughter Melissa Mullis Raiford and husband Hugh Raiford (Flowery Branch), grandsons William Dorsey Raiford (Flowery Branch) and Elliott Jordan Raiford (Athens), sister Myra Paul (Macon), nephew and wife Billy and Donna Paul and their daughters Lindsey and Kaci (Macon).
