Goodman Hughes “Butch” Moore, III

Goodman Hughes “Butch” Moore, III, age 73 of Gainesville passed away Saturday February 27, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Butch was born in Gainesville on January 21, 1948 to the late Goodman Hughes, Jr. & Lucy Louella Gerrells Moore. He served his Country in the United States Navy as a SEABEE (Construction Battalion) in Africa, then serving in Vietnam. Butch was the owner/operator of Moore’s Custom Cabinets, and was the founding member of the Folkway of Dahlonega.  He is loved dearly & will be missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include, wife, Nancy Moore; sons, Thomas Moore, Brian West & Scott Surles; daughters, Kelly West & Elizabeth Moore; brother, Van Moore; sister Priscilla Hennessey; 6 grandchildren and a host of other family members also survive.

Celebration of life services will be held at a later date.
