Ralph Marshall Howington

Ralph Marshall Howington, 87 of Gainesville passed away Thursday February 25, 2021 at his residence.

A lifelong resident of Hall County, Mr. Howington was the son of the late Eddie Frank and Geneva Howington.  He was employed at John Megel Chevrolet for a number of years.  Mr. Howington was instrumental in getting the Little League Parade in Gainesville started, where he also coached.  Mr. Howington was a member of the New Holland Congregational Holiness Church.

He will be missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Sabrina and Steven England, Gainesville; sons, Mark and Jackie Howington; daughter, Christina Lingerfelt, Gainesville; grandchildren, Dylan and Montana Foster; Nevaeh and Brooklyn England; Phoenix and William Wooten; Shay and Trey Lingerfelt; a number of other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held Sunday February 28, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home.  Bill Trotter, Kathy Loggins and Lucas Ray will officiate.  Interment will follow in the Alta Vista Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Sunday at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until the funeral hour.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorial contributions please be made to No Kids Hungry Foundation in memory of Mr. Howington.
