Crawford Joe Bailey

Mr. Crawford Joe Bailey, Sr. 83, of Gainesville passed away Monday, February 22, 2021 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 27, 2021 in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Eddie Bailey will officiate. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Friday, February 26, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Due to Covid-19, the family requests that everyone attending the visitation and service wear a mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines.

Born on November 28, 1937 in Gainesville, he was the son of the late Joel and Mattie Sue Stephens Bailey. Mr. Bailey was retired from Andy Wallis Construction and a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Bailey is preceded in death by his wife, Frances Hill Bailey; son, Eric Dwayne Bailey; brothers, Leonard Ernest Bailey and sister, Shirley Ann Osborne.

Mr. Bailey is survived by his daughter, Gloria Bailey of Commerce; son, Crawford Bailey, Jr. of Gainesville; daughters, Sharon Elizabeth Sadler of Flowery Branch, Angela Lenn Bailey of Gainesville; son, Donald Lynn Bailey of Gainesville; sisters, Betty Sue Penland of Flowery Branch, Glenda Jo Jackson of Flowery Branch, Denise Kaye Bailey of Oakwood; brothers, Johnny Lamar Bailey of Gainesville, Darrell Ray Bailey of Gainesville; 20 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
