Lillie Mae "Sista" Holcomb

Ms. Lillie Mae “ Sista” Holcomb was born on September 11, 1955 to the late Mr. U. J. (SR) and Lizzie Mae Holcomb. She gained her wings on February 19, 2021. 

She graduated from Gainesville High School in 1973, where she was a cheerleader. 

She was loving and caring to everyone she met. Ms. Lillie never met a stranger. Whatever anyone asked her, she was up for the task. She loved to cook and cater for everyone. She was very well known and loved by many. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Lackey. She retired from Fieldale after being employed over 15 years. 

She leaves to cherish her everlasting memories to her children, Portia Holcomb and Tamiko Holcomb, both of Gainesville, four siblings, Angelia Marie Holcomb, U.J. Holcomb J.R., Eugene Holcomb, and Rev. Michael (Sabrina) Holcomb all of Gainesville, 9 grandchildren, 7 great- grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends including her special crew: Mary Young (Fatty), Linda Young, Mary Louise Collins, Elaine Buffington, (Laine Poo), Martha Ann Pulliam, Laura Ann, and Dorothy Camp.

The visitation for "Sista" will be between the hours of 12-8pm Friday February 26, 2021 at Wimberly Funeral Home. Her Celebration of Life will be held Saturday February 27, 2021 at Memorial Park Chapel at the hour 2pm. Professional Service Entrusted to Wimberly Funeral Home.
