Lula Mae Wise Bivens

Obituary Date: Friday, February 19, 2021

Lula Mae Wise Bivens was born on May 28, 1929, in Franklin County to the late Mr. & Mrs. Oscar (Mary Usher) Wise. She departed this life on Friday, February 19, 2021. 

She was married to Matthew Shields (Deceased). She later married Jessie Bivens Sr (Deceased). 

Lula Mae Bivens was blessed with four children whom she was devoted to; James (Shirley) Wize, Peggy Lee (Late Elder Larry) Sewell, Jacquelyn (David) McRae, Jessie (Vallaree) Bivens Jr. 

Lula Mae Bivens truly lived her life to the fullest through simple pleasures.  She was a hard worker and always took pride in whatever she accomplished.  She loved to cook, bake, travel, and she was an excellent seamstress. Most of all, she loved taking care of her family. Her favorite hobby was planting flowers, vegetables in her garden. 

She was a faithful member of New Hope Tabernacle Free C.O.G.I.C., and She was a mother of the church and a faithful usher, which she enjoyed very much. She was loved and respected by everyone that came in contacted with her because of her natural loving spirit. 

She leaves to cherish one surviving sister; Helen Watson, her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives, and friends along with a host of others whose lives she touched.
The visitation will be held Wednesday, February 24th, 2020 between the hours of 12noon to 8pm. Mother Bivens' Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, February 25th, 2021 at 1pm at Wimberly Funeral Home. Professional Service Entrusted to Wimberly Funeral Home.
