William Cecil "Ned" Ellison

Obituary Date: Monday, February 15, 2021

Mr. William Cecil “Ned” Ellison was born in Banks County Ga on Feb 22, 1944 to the late Dewitt and Annie Bell (Haygood) Ellison.  

He is preceded in by brother: JD Ellison, Authur Joe Ellison, Douglas Ellison, Welcome Lipscomb, Michael Ellison, nephew: Ricky Ellison and Sister: The Late “Mrs. Greatest Cook in the world”, Aunt Lorraine (Thomas) Ellison. 

Ned Ellison enjoyed spending his spare time gardening, fishing, following sport, and watching Westerns. Mr. Ellison retired American Bedding after 30 plus years of Service. 

Mr. Ellison was married in 1963 to Mrs. Helen (Turman) Ellison and was blessed with 6 children: Vanessa (Mike) Ellison, Perry Ellison, Jerry Ellison (Pamela Ellison) (deceased), Shawn (Tressa) Ellison, Tyrone (Cortney) Ellison.  In departing he leaves to cherish fond memories who were fortunate to bask in his infinite love three siblings: Jerry Lamar (Nancy) Ellison, Bertha (Johnny) Shields, Mary (Larry) Davenport. Grandchildren: Wanisha, Sadonna(Chris), Helena ( Tone), Cuba, Erica, Keisha, lil Jerry, Lil Willie, Lanshunda, Shundrea, Rytavius, Shawnquez, Darius, Shyrez, Jamal, Olivia, Leondre, Malachi, and Josiah, along with “ 30 Greatgrands Kids.” He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, loved ones, and friends. 

Visitation will be held Friday, February 19th between the hours of 12 noon -8pm. Celebration of Life will be Saturday February 20th at 2pm at Alta Vista Cemetery. Professional Service Entrusted to Wimberly Funeral Home.
