Obituary Date: Wednesday, February 17, 2021

Ms. Imogene Maxine Motes age 80 of Gainesville, Ga passed away on Wednesday February 17, 2021 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.      

Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday February 21, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Drewery Loggins will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday February 20, 2021 from 3:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.    

Imogene was born on December 18, 1940 in Dawsonville, Ga to the late Silas Evans and Patsy Andrews Evans. She was self-employed where she worked and ran a cleaning company and was of the Baptist Faith. Ms. Motes is preceded in death by her parents, grand-daughter, Tammy Archer, and husband, Cecil Motes.

Ms. Motes is survived by her children, Edith Tran of Gainesville, Deborah Standridge of Gainesville, Lacey Motes of Gainesville, grandchildren, Angel Smith, Jenny Standridge, Kristen Satterfield, great-grandchildren, Elijah Standridge, Alethia Hernandez, Gloria Standridge, Chasity Cheeks, Cecilia Sisk, Austin Akin, Eric Akin, John- Lewis Smith, Trent Smith, Kyle Smith,  great great-grandchildren, Kharter Cheeks, Nyasia Cheeks.

Due to Covid-19, the family requests that everyone attending the visitation and service wear a mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines.
