Frances H. McNorrill

Frances H. McNorrill, 88, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, February 15, 2021. A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, February 19, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Vineville Baptist Church with Dr. Richard Kremer officiating. Burial will be private at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends on Thursday, February 18, 2021 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Vineville Baptist Church, 2591 Vineville Ave., Macon GA 31204.

Frances was born in Oakwood, Georgia to the late Oscar Powell and Dot Eberhardt Henderson. She was preceded in death by her brother, Frank Henderson, niece, Wendy McNorrill, brother-in-laws, Thomas McNorrill, Bob Dimmick, Elmo Weeks, Jack Pethel and Jack Smith and sister-in-law, Betty Dimmick Weeks. She was a graduate of Oakwood High School and Valedictorian of her class, graduate of Piedmont College, Mercer University, and Georgia College. She taught at Bruce Elementary, Head of Special Education at Heard Elementary and taught Pre-School at Vineville Baptist Church for nine years. Frances was a member of Vineville Baptist Church, and taught Sunday School for many years and was active in the WMU.

She is survived by her beloved husband of fifty years, James C. McNorrill of Macon, two sisters, Mary Smith and Collene Pethel, nieces and nephews, Stan (JoAnn) Pethel, Nancy (David) Duncan, Margie (Terry) Park, Sharon Dionne, Rebecca (Mark) Harris, Charles Henderson, Terri (Bruce) Wilson, Jan (Dean) Laskey, Walter (Mary) Dimmick, Nancy Bissell, and several great nieces and nephews.
