Donald Auton Kirby

Donald Auton Kirby, age 75, of Jasper, GA passed away on Tuesday, February 16, 2021. He was born in 1945, to the late Auton and Ruth Kirby. Donald was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church in Milton, GA. Donald was a United States Army veteran. He enjoyed fishing, and hunting. Donald loved anything outdoors, especially his gardening. Even though he enjoyed the outdoors, his favorite thing to do was spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchild. He will be missed dearly. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife, Sara Kirby; son, Rodney Pearson, and sister, Sandra Carter.

He is survived by his children, Jay Kirby, Melissa (Rev. Steve) Darnell, and David (Jennifer) Pearson; siblings, Sam Kirby, Silvy Kirby, Delbert Kirby, and Doris Wagner; grandchildren, Rev. T. C. Hubbard, Rev. Josh Hubbard, Kayla Darnell, Sophia Darnell, Jessi Pearson, Hunter Pearson, Hannah Pearson, and Tatum Pearson; 1 great grandchild, Thomas Hubbard; along with many other loving relatives, and friends.

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 19, 2021 in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home in Cumming, GA, with Rev. Steve Darnell, Rev. T.C. Hubbard, and Rev. Josh Hubbard officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens in Cumming, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service.
