Delma “Del” “Dan” Charles Addison

Mr. Delma “Del” “Dan” Charles Addison, 73, of Gainesville passed away Friday, February 12, 2021 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 18, 2021 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Cary Pittman will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Due to Covid-19, the family requests that everyone attending the services wear a mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines.

Born on January 12, 1948 in Pitts, GA, he was the son of the late Walter P. and Celia Watson Addison. Mr. Addison was retired from Chicopee and Caterpillar where he was a machinist. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of White Plains Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Addison is preceded in death by his brothers, Curtis Paul Addison, Walter Addison, Jr., Stevie Addison, sisters, Edna Lowery, Vera Handley, Frances Kidd; half-sisters, Thelma Burnett and Mae Addison.

Mr. Addison is survived by his wife, Deborah Thomas Addison of Gainesville; daughter, Kelly Adams of Commerce; grandson, Cameron Adams of Commerce; sister, Diane Gearin of Braselton; sisters in law, Irene Addison Grizzle, Linda Addison, Sharon Addison and a number of nieces and nephews.
