Kenneth Ernest Ivester

Mr. Kenneth Ernest Ivester, age 65, of Toccoa passed away February 11, 2021 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

A son of Doris Keeling Ivester and the late Reverend Ernest Ivester, he was born October 27, 1955 in Stephens County, Georgia having lived all his life in Habersham. He was employed with North Georgia Foods where he was a maintenance supervisor for thirty years. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church where he served as Chairman of the Deacon Board, Sunday School Teacher and Sunday School Director, He was preceded in death by his wife Julia “Judy” Norris Ivester.

Survivors include his mother Doris Keeling Ivester of Toccoa, daughter and son-in-law, Wendy and Chad Thomas of Toccoa; two grandchildren, Savannah and Daven, sister Sandra Hayes of Toccoa brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Steve and Donna Norris of South Carolina, Don and Fredda Hughes of Martin, Mike and Rosa Harris of Toccoa, nieces Amy and Billy Yearwood, Julie and Jeremy Boatwright, great nieces and nephews Ivey Yearwood, Tyler, Mason and Khloe Boatwright and a number of others nieces and nephews and his loyal dog Buddy.

A private graveside service will be held Monday February 15, 2020 at 4 P.M. at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery and a memorial service will be held at 6 P.M. at Antioch Baptist Church with the Reverend Brian Stephens officiating.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers Perry Black, Sam Ivester, Tyler Boatwright, David Irvin, Don Hughes and Allen Irvin.

Honorary pallbearers will be employees of Burger King and North Georgia Foods.

Interment will be in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.
