Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mrs. Edith Faye Tullis Culpepper, age 84 of Jefferson, Georgia who entered into rest Wednesday, February 10, 2021. Mrs. Culpepper was born in Jefferson, Georgia a daughter of the late Lamar and Edna Snelling Tullis, was a member of Talmo Baptist Church and was retired from the Jackson County School System. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Culpeper is preceded by her granddaughter, Keri Carpenter and her husband Hugh Lee Culpepper.
Survivors include a daughter Debbie Stewart of Jefferson, a son, Dr. Jeff Culpepper (Carla) of Canton. One grandson, Jackson Culpepper, one grandson in law, Cecil Carpenter, both of Jefferson. Two great grandsons, Anthony and Nicholas Carpenter of Jefferson. Three sisters, Lanelle Paul (Walter) of McDonough, Pat Fox (Bill) of Acworth and Linda Cofield of Commerce. A brother, James Tullis (Pam) of Stockbridge also survives.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday, February 14, 2021 from the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Reverend Mark Spence officiating with burial to follow in Evans Memory Gardens. Gentlemen honored as pallbearers are Cecil Carpenter, Anthony Carpenter, Nicholas Carpenter, Anthony Tullis, Kevin Paul, and Don Sorrells. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 12:00 – 2:00 prior to the service. Those attending are ask to maintain safe social distancing and to please wear protective masks due the COVID 19 Pandemic.
