Penny Standridge, 55, of Gainesville passed away Tuesday February 9, 2021 at her residence following a sudden illness.
Born August 29, 1965, Penny lived her entire life in Cumming, Dawsonville and Gainesville. A member of Second Baptist Church in Cumming, she was very strong in her faith. Penny was an amazing wife, mother, daughter and grandmother who enjoyed her grandchildren most of all. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmy Clonts and Larry Clonts, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Warren “Bud” and Louise Standridge, and sister-in-law, Tammy Clonts.
Surviving are her husband, Scott Standridge of Gainesville; children, Jacob Johnson, Julie and Corey Edwards, all of Cumming; step-daughters, April and Emily Standridge, both of Gainesville; mother and step-father, Lois and Charlie Morgan of Dawsonville; father and step-mother, David and Phyllis Clonts of Dawsonville; grandchildren, Mason Edwards, Caleb Pethel; sister, Teresa Howard of Indiana; brother, Jerry Clonts of Dawsonville.
Funeral services will be held Monday February 15, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Richard Picklesimer will officiate. Interment will follow at Standridge Family Cemetery in Clermont.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday February 14 from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Monday from 10 a.m. until the hour of service.
