Katherine "Kathy" Loretta Royster

Mrs. Katherine "Kathy" Loretta Royster, age 72, of Dahlonega passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2021. 

Kathy was born in Lumpkin County on February 3, 1949 to the late Johnny and Nettie Rider Collins. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Royster; sister and brother-in-law Bessie and Hoyt Grizzle; brother and sister-in-law J.D. and Bernice Collins; brothers-in-law Sam Davis, Roy Norrell, L.J. Jarrard and Hubert Grizzle.  Kathy had a personality that was jovial and fun. She loved to travel and fish and would always help people when she could.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law Trent and Missy Cain; sisters Jessie Lee Grizzle, Bonnelle C. Davis, Betty Jarrard, and Hazel Norrell; sisters and brothers-in-law Ann and Bill Lawson, and Barbara and Walter Norrell; brother and sister-in-law C.F. and Geraldine Collins; granddaughter Emily and Cody Miller; and great-grandson Samuel Miller.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Lyman Caldwell and the Rev. Michael Rodgers will officiate. Interment will follow in Dahlonega Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Tony Allison officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
