Tracy Floyd

Tracy Floyd, 60, of Buford, GA, died Friday, January 22, 2021 after a brief illness. Funeral service will be held Thursday, February 11, 2021 at 2 PM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Pastor Danny Newbern will officiate. Interment will follow at Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Buford. The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 10, 2021 from 5 – 8 PM at the funeral home. Tracy was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Mary Thornhill Floyd. He is survived by his children, Patrick Floyd, Daniel Floyd, and Reilly Floyd, all of Buford; granddaughter, Charlee Floyd; brothers, Michael Floyd, Buford, Tony Floyd (Sandra). Tracy was born in Atlanta, GA, and was a lifelong Buford resident. He was a graduate of North Gwinnett High School, Class of 1978 and a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church. Tracy loved fishing and sports. He played baseball for North Gwinnett and in the Greater Buford Athletic Association. He retired from Scientific Atlanta.
