Harriett N. Ward

Mrs. Harriett N. Ward of Cumming, Ga passed away quietly January 12th at the age of 79.  Born in Travelers Rest, Sc and moved to Atlanta, Ga where she went to nursing school at Crawford Long Nursing School and began her nursing career at Crawford Long Hospital.  She became the Director of Nursing at Buford General Hospital and ended her career working as a nurse at Phillips Correctional Facility and retired and enjoyed being with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Tyrous J. Ward, two sons and their families: Mark and Kellie Ward of Suwanee, Kerry and Dori Ward of Cumming, Grandchildren and their families:  David and Elizabeth Ward, Jeffrey and Alexis Ward, Kara Ward and Avery Ward; and Great grandchildren Jackson and Ella Ward.

The love she shared with her family and the nursing care she provided to her patients was a lifetime of inspiration for all those who knew her.

There will be no funeral services due to the concerns of covid, but the family hopes to have a memorial service at a later time.
