Jack C. (J.C.) (Ace) Bennett

Mr. Jack C. “J.C.”  “Ace” Bennett, 88, of Gainesville, passed away Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Mr. Bennett was known by his family as J.C. and “Pops” and his close friends as “Ace.”

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Due to Covid-19, the family requests that everyone attending the visitation and service wear a mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines.

Born on March 30, 1932 in Oakwood, he was the son of the late Charlie Bennett and the late Cynthia Seabolt Welborn. He was retired from American Steamship Company in Buffalo, NY where he was a Wheelsman. Mr. Bennett was a veteran of the Merchant Marines.

Mr. Bennett is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Nola Bennett; daughter and son in law, Jackie and William Vickery; son, Terry Bennett; son and daughter in law, Tim and Nancy Bennett; grandchildren, Brandi Hollifield, Erin Rhoades, Jennifer Tiller, Tyler Vickery, Chad Bennett, Chris Bennett, Cameron Bennett, Nicholas Bennett; 9 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; brother, Bobby Bennett and a number of other relatives.
