Obituary Date: Monday, January 18, 2021

“We flicker on a screen. We fold and unfold upon the mind’s eye, brittle as wings, eternal as a heartbeat, And even when the heart falls silent, we do not cease to be, because in the end, we all become memories,” “Turn Again to Life,” by Mary Lee Hall.

Martha Jane (Higgins) Castleberry, 77, of Cumming passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on January 18, 2021. Martha is preceded in death by her parents, Anderson and Imogene Higgins, step-mother, Rachel Higgins, sister, JoAnne Stanford, and brothers, Elwin and Donald Higgins.

She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Phillip Castleberry of Cumming, daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Kenneth Mason of Cumming, son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Nikki Castleberry and granddaughters, Makenzie and Kadie Castleberry, all of Watkinsville, sister, Joyce (Lanier) Castleberry of Cumming, brother, “Mack” (Emma Lou) Higgins of Dawsonville, and sister-in-law, Pat Higgins of Dawsonville.
