Dorothy Wray “Dotty” Burney

Dorothy Wray “Dotty” Burney of Cumming passed away Saturday, January 23, 2021. Dotty had the biggest heart of anyone and was loved by all who knew her. She was well known as having a green thumb and could grow anything. Dotty was retired from Forsyth County Roads and Bridges as an Administrative Specialist and is preceded in death by her son, Ray Blankenship.  

Survivors include her husband, Glenn E. Burney, Sr; son, Dale Blankenship; sister and brother-in-law, Joni and Kenny Buice; a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren and 2 loving nieces.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 27, at 2:00 p.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Sams officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home the hour prior to the service.
