John Robert (Bob) Sheuring

John Robert (Bob) Sheuring, 79, formally of Athens, GA passed on January 23, 2021. Born on April 22, 1941, he was the son of the late Dr. John Joseph and Delora Cossette Sheuring of Athens, GA. Margaret Jean Sheuring was the late wife of John Robert Sheuring.

Bob Graduated from Athens High School in 1959 and he attended Athens Vocational School in 1960 completing an Electrical degree. He worked for WGTV Chanel 8 as a sound engineer. He worked for Jim Hawkins studio as a sound engineer. He was a Town Marshall for Bogart, GA, and a Retired Firefighter of Athens-Clarke County. He was a Veteran of the US Army.

Survivors include Dr. John David Sheuring of Wake Forest, NC; Debra Jean Potts of Oglethorpe County, GA with 4 children and grandchildren; Michael Wayne Sheuring of Dahlonega, GA, with 3 children, 3 stepchildren and 6 grandchildren.

There will be a private memorial service held at his son’s home in Dahlonega, GA.

He will be interred with his late wife, Margaret Jean Sheuring at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Athens, GA.
