Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Ms. Sadie Motes Hubbard, age 82 of Jefferson, Georgia who entered into rest Sunday, January 24, 2021. Ms. Hubbard was born in Jefferson, Georgia a daughter of the late Herman and Hazel Stover Motes, was a member of Harmony Street Baptist Church in Gainesville and was retired from the Health Care Industry. In addition to her parents, Ms. Hubbard is preceded by a daughter, Rebecca Sue Hubbard, brother, Gordon Herman Motes, Jr., and a sister, Betty Culver.
Survivors include a son, Johnny Ledford (Elizabeth) of Flowery Branch, daughter Dee Ledford of Monticello, daughter, Darlene Davis of Cleveland, son, Brian Hubbard (Holly) of Greenville. Brother, J.W. Motes of Oakwood, sisters, Carolyn Harris of Lula, Mildred Voyles of Jefferson, Juanita Broome of Clermont and Annette Baugh of Lula. Eleven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and a multitude of nieces and nephews also survive.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, January 25, 2021 from the Dry Pond United Methodist Church Cemetery with Reverend Jimmy Peck officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 9:30 – 10:30 A.M. Monday, January 25, 2019 at the funeral home. Those attending the visitation and the service are asked to maintain safe social distancing and to wear a protective mask due to the current COVID 19 Pandemic.
