Sonny Ray Parker

Sonny Ray Parker, 76, of Flowery Branch, GA passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charley and Effie Parker, and brother, Curtis Parker. Mr. Parker is survived by his sons, Scutty Parker and Stephen Parker, both of Flowery Branch; grandchildren, Stephanie (Elliot) Moore of Oakwood, GA; Windie Parker of Buford, GA, Dylan Parker, Shala Parker, and Charley Parker all of Flowery Branch; sister, Louise Martin of Blue Ridge, GA; aunt, Ruby Parker of Buford, GA; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mr. Parker was born on November 22, 1944 in Buford, GA. He received his education at Buford High School. Mr. Parker was retired from General Motors Assembly Plant in Doraville, GA and was a member of U.A. W. Local 10. He was a member of Christ Like Church in Oakwood, and he enjoyed hunting and watching movies. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens in Buford. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, January 25 at the funeral home.
